Some ozone laundry systems claim you can eliminate detergent altogether. As a powerful oxidizer that cleans, sanitizes, and breaks down odors and stains, that claim can sound convincing. However, third-party research and direct consumer feedback tells another story: while ozone significantly decreases the need for detergent, it’s not meant to entirely replace it—rather, the two work together to provide what the other lacks, giving you the most powerful duo.

The tersano Pod Difference

Not All Pods are Created Equal

While detergent is ozone’s partner in “grime”, not all detergents are created equal. Many leading household brands contain ingredients that will work in opposition to ozone, degrading it before it has effectively cleaned your cloths. tersano Pods are different. Containing expertly developed ingredients, they ensure the ozone stays intact throughout the wash cycle, maximizing your clean without compromise.

Frequently Asked Questions
tersano Pods are pre-measured laundry detergent pods specially formulated for aqueous ozone laundry systems, including the iClean FLO₃. Designed to complement the cleaning action of ozone, they help whiten, brighten, and freshen laundry while providing the convenience of a simple, mess-free detergent solution.
Unlike conventional detergents, tersano Pods are specially formulated with aqueous ozone compatibility in mind. Some ingredients commonly found in traditional detergents can react with ozone, potentially reducing its availability during the wash. tersano Pods are designed to complement ozone while providing effective everyday detergent cleaning.
No. While tersano Pods are specially formulated to complement the iClean FLO₃, they can also be used with other home ozone laundry systems or independently in conventional washing machines. Without an ozone system, they function like regular laundry detergent, providing everyday cleaning without the additional benefits of aqueous ozone.
Yes. tersano Pods are specially formulated for aqueous ozone laundry and can be used with other compatible home ozone laundry systems. However, pairing them with the iClean FLO₃ offers a complete laundry solution designed to combine ozone technology with a complementary detergent formulation.
Yes. tersano Pods are HE-compatible and suitable for use in both high-efficiency and conventional washing machines. They're designed for all machine types, making them a versatile addition to your laundry routine.
Each package contains 30 pre-measured laundry Pods. The number of loads per package depends on your load size, dosing requirements, and whether you're using an iClean FLO₃.
Yes. tersano Pods are a great way to begin simplifying your laundry routine. Use them independently in your existing washing machine, then pair them with the iClean FLO₃ whenever you're ready to experience the additional benefits of aqueous ozone.
Ozone is a powerful oxidizing agent, and certain ingredients found in conventional laundry detergents can react with it during the wash. These reactions may consume ozone that would otherwise be available for cleaning. tersano Pods are specially formulated for aqueous ozone laundry, helping detergent and ozone work together rather than unnecessarily competing with one another.
The iClean FLO₃ introduces aqueous ozone into your washing machine's water supply, while tersano Pods provide detergent-based cleaning. Ozone helps oxidize certain stains and odor-causing compounds, while the Pods help lift and remove dirt, oils, and other soils from fabrics. Together, they provide complementary cleaning actions in a single wash.
No. tersano Pods are laundry detergent and do not produce ozone themselves. To experience aqueous ozone benefits, you'll need the iClean FLO₃, which ozonates the water entering your washing machine.
Yes. The iClean FLO₃ is designed to support effective laundry cleaning with up to 50% less detergent. When paired with tersano Pods, you can reduce your detergent dosage or wash a larger load using the same quantity.
tersano Pods provide effective everyday detergent cleaning on their own, including helping remove dirt and stains. However, without the iClean FLO3, you won't receive the additional oxidation-based cleaning benefits – such as deodorization, 100% cold-water washing, softening, longer-lasting linens, and sanitizing – that ozone contributes to the wash.
tersano Pods are formulated to help remove tough stains and soils, including dirt, body oils, and food residue. When paired with an aqueous ozone system, they provide complementary detergent and ozone cleaning actions.
Yes. tersano Pods are designed for cold-water washing, making them particularly well suited for use with the iClean FLO₃ and other home ozone laundry systems.
tersano Pods are formulated to be gentle on skin and contain no added fragrance or dyes.
No. tersano Pods are scent-free and formulated without added fragrances. They're designed to leave laundry clean and fresh without introducing artificial perfumes into your washing routine.
Place the recommended number of tersano Pods directly into the empty washing machine drum before adding your laundry. Add your clothing, select the appropriate wash cycle, and start your machine. For best results, pair tersano Pods with cold water and the iClean FLO3.
Standard dosing depends on your load size:

Small = 1 Pod
Medium = 2 Pods
Large = 3 Pods

When using the iClean FLO₃, use 50% less detergent by adding one pod, but doubling* the load size.
*Do not exceed your washing machine manufacturer’s recommended load capacity.
Always place tersano Pods directly into the washing machine drum before adding laundry. Do not put them in the detergent dispenser drawer, as this may interfere with proper dissolution and distribution.
We recommend cold-water washing with tersano Pods. Cold-water washing also supports the intended operation of the iClean FLO3. If a garment requires a different temperature, follow its care label.
Yes, tersano Pods are designed to quickly dissolve in cold water. For best results, place the pod directly in the drum before adding clothing and avoid exceeding the manufacturer’s recommended load capacity.
Keep the package tightly sealed and store it in a dry, secure location out of reach of children and pets. Always handle pods with dry hands to prevent premature dissolution.
tersano Pods are formulated without added fragrance, phosphates, or dyes. These characteristics support a simplified laundry routine while maintaining compatibility with iClean FLO3.
tersano’s revolutionary paper pod packaging is 100% biodegradable and microplastic-free.
tersano Pods are designed to support a more environmentally conscious laundry routine through cold-water compatibility, biodegradable materials, and a formulation without added bleach, phosphates, fragrances, or dyes.
Yes, the tersano Pods outer packaging is home compostable. Before composting, remove the plastic label as directed on the packaging.
tersano Pods support cold-water washing, which can reduce energy consumption associated with heating wash water. When paired with the iClean FLO₃, they also support a laundry process designed to use less detergent, helping households reduce their reliance on conventional laundry products.
