Semiconductor
Plant (JLL).
Reducing Costs and Supporting Net Zero Goals
Introduction
“Cleaning a facility as large as this semiconductor plant is no light undertaking,” states Sean Gilsenan, Operations Manager of JLL Services in Dublin, Ireland, “With SAO®, I can clean more efficiently, effectively, and safely while cutting costs every step of the way.” As JLL’s Operations Manager, Sean works closely with businesses across Dublin, Ireland and the EMEA to optimize their facility maintenance and management programs.
One of his clients is a tech giant with 2,000 employees working in over 300,000 square feet of developed space. The sizable facility has plans to expand even more, and Sean must be creative in his approach to reducing cleaning costs without sacrificing results. In switching from toxic chemical cleaners to Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO®), he has met and exceeded those goals.
The tersano SAO system:
- SAO kills 99.99% of bacteria and viruses.
- Provides on-site generation eliminating the need to purchase traditional chemical cleaning products continually.
- Increases productivity as an all-in-one solution.
- Is non-corrosive and safe for virtually any surface, including steel and metals.
Opportunity
The semiconductor client has slated plans to double their manufacturing space in the next couple of years but wishes to keep their cleaning costs relatively unchanged. “We couldn’t expand our facility and also our cleaning budget,” Sean explains, “We needed to come up with a creative solution to accommodate the expansion without having to dish out more costs to clean it.”
Action
By simply converting tap water to SAO on-site and on-demand, Sean does more than maintain cleaning costs: he reduces them. Their cleaning staff uses Stabilized Aqueous Ozone in almost every application, diminishing their need to order countless expensive traditional chemical cleaners. “We are happy with how much we’ve saved by switching to SAO,” Sean states, “The janitorial staff now cleans with as little as one product: SAO.”
- After use, SAO reverts to water and oxygen and can be disposed of down the drain without negatively impacting waterways.
- SAO is natural and eco-friendly on every level.
- SAO enables more consistent cleaning and sanitizing of manufacturer’s facilities.
